The former LSU teammates were involved in friendly banter. It all started when Ja’Marr Chase said that Justin Jefferson is stealing his moves. While the comment can be seen as offensive Jefferson and Chase have a close bond that helped soften the blow.
Justin Jefferson had a swift reply for Bengal’s receiver when he said “Ja’Marr know I ain’t steal NO MOVES from him … we don’t play nothing alike.” Jefferson said on the All Things Covered show on CBS.
Jefferson also said that Chase is more physical and whereas he’s a swift player. The Vikings WR also said that he’s more versatile as he has a different set of play that he can equip at any time and Chase is just one Dimensional.
“Ja’Marr knows I didn’t steal any moves from him,” Jefferson said. “You can look at the film, we don’t play alike. He’s more of a physical, deep-threat type of receiver. I’m more shifty, but I can do both. I’m more versatile. I can play in the slot, I can go outside, I can do whatever you want.

Justin Jefferson and Ja’Marr Chase, the two WRs for the future
The two LSU WRs have a bright future ahead of them. Both are 23 years old and touted as one of the best receivers currently in the NFL. The two friends indulge in friendly banter regularly to take a shot at one another but share a great bond off the field.
Justin Jefferson has caught around 200 passes and over 3,000 receiving yards and 17 touchdowns in two seasons with the Vikings. On the other hand, Ja’Marr Chase was the offensive rookie of the season. The Bengals WR caught for 1,455 receiving yards with 13 touchdowns in his rookie season.
Both the WRs are regarded as the future of the NFL and have healthy competition between them. This competition will help them grow and also increase the ceiling to which we can perform in the league.
