Nancy Morgan was born on April 1, 1949, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, United States of America. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Denison University in 1971 and holds a Master’s Degree in Counselling Psychology from the Pacifica Graduate Institute.

Morgan began her acting career in 1975 after she was given short-lived roles on the shows Lucas Tanner and Medical Center. In 1977, she starred with Ron Howard in Howard’s directorial debut Grand Theft Auto. She also starred with the Italian film star, Terence Hill, in a feature film and European television series based on the comic-strip hero Lucky Luke.

After marrying the renowned actor, John Ritter, Morgan co-hosted the national United Cerebral Palsy Telethon alongside her husband. They also featured in The Dreamer Oz, Heartbeat, and the feature film, Americathon. Morgan also featured as a guest actor in Ritter’s television series Hooperman.

She is a singer and songwriter. Tyler Ritter (born on January 31, 1985) is also an actor known for playing Ronny McCarthy on The McCarthys. He has also starred as a guest actor in popular television series such as Modern Family, Grey’s Anatomy, NCIS, NCIS: New Orleans, Arrow and Homecoming.

Morgan and Ritter divorced in 1996 after 19 years old marriage. Ritter died on September 11, 2003, at the age of 54.
