Lady At the Centre of Alleged Murder of Musician Wyllbee Denied Bail During First Court Appearance

Nana Yaa, the woman at the center of the alleged lynching of a musician known as Wyllbee, has been denied bail by an Akropong District Court.

The Tanoso based woman and some alleged accomplices are currently being held by police over their alleged roles in the death of the musician.

Wyllbee’s story captivated Ghanaians some weeks back when it emerged.

The musician had reportedly gone to Tanoso to visit his girlfriend who unknown to him was actually married.

In the middle of the night, he allegedly got up to relieve himself in the compound when a woman who did not know him spotted him and raised an alarm that he was a thief.

He was quickly set upon by a crowd and reports allege that when he pointed out Nana Yaa as his host, she denied knowing him to save her marriage, leading to him being beaten to death.

Following his death, Nana Yaa and some accomplices were arrested.

They appeared in court today but were denied bail and have been remanded into police custody for two weeks.
