Idaho county deputies rescue injured bow hunter in Glade Creek area

According to a recent news release, on Sept. 30, 2023, at approximately 1:30 p.m., Idaho County Deputy Stan Denham received a call from a friend who stated he received an inReach message his sister-in-law fell and broke her leg while bow hunting.

They were in the Glade Creek area off Highway 12, approximately 200 yards off the trail and about two and a half miles from the highway.

Deputy Stan Denham and Deputy Sean Nelson responded with the help of the Kooskia Ambulance and three other hunters. They were able to carry her to the trail and wheel her to the ambulance in a heavy rainstorm.
