Burglary ALERT!, Bucs Wide Receiver Julio Jones Atlanta House looted, suspect arrested
Julio Jones is having many scares recently. Not only does he have to sit out of the playing field because of his recent knee injury, but looks like he also has to keep an eye open toward his properties now.
Tuesday saw a burglary incident happening at Tampa Bay Buccaneers star’s Atlanta residence. The accuser was immediately caught running outside Julia Jones’ house.
Martin Williams, accused of burglarizing Julio Jones’ Atlanta House, arrested with the stolen items
While the robber would have been still on the run but unfortunately for him, the Atlanta Police Department was quick on his tail. According to reports, the Police were on patrol when they received a complaint of a burglary at a residence in Buckhead.
Upon arriving at the location, the officers were told that the property belonged to former Atlanta Falcons football player Julio Jones.
The suspect was caught red-handed running. And further, he was made to surrender on the ground outside the residence. The accused has been identified as Martin Williams, 31 years old, from Kentucky, and was seen wearing one of Jones’ sweatshirt.
He was also found with items like jewelry, a watch, valuable NFL apparel, and the gorgeous Nike Charles Barkley shoes which were reported missing from Jones’ residence.
In Fox 5 Atlanta’s report, Atlanta Police Captain Ben Vayens said “Several items were missing from the location which includes clothing and jewelry, and also [the officer] did a great job taking a detailed description and providing a detailed description over the radio,”
Williams is booked and charged with two counts of first-degree Burglary. Police confirmed that Jones can retrieve his things once he is back in Atlanta.
While it’s delightful to hear that the burglar and the stolen items have been apprehended, it would be also great if we can get Julia Jones back in action on the NFL field.
Jones is currently nursing his a torn posterior cruciate ligament and is out of Bucs’ playing XI. He was deemed inactive before Sunday’s 21-15 triumph against the Falcons. And if the latest reports are to be believed, it seems it will be some time before he makes a return.
