Body found in Salmon River is man who crashed vehicle last month
RIGGINS, Idaho (KBOI) — A body found found in the Salmon River over the weekend has been confirmed to be that of a missing man who crashed into the river last month.
The Idaho County Sheriff's Office says on Saturday a body was found in the river along Highway 95 at about milepost 220 at about 10:20 a.m.
The sheriff's office says Dave Olson found the unidentified body about 10 feet into the river, which was caught on debris. Dave has been looking his son, Derek, who went missing after he crashed into the river March 20.
Idaho County Coroner Cody Funke made the positive identification Tuesday morning.
